This was so timely for me. While I too could learn from the no answer being an answer, I absolutely feel that is so much kinder to answer, even briefly. Even an emoji, a thumbs up, anything that communicates the message was seen. I have family that will text me, I respond and then....crickets. It's maddening and I wish they would just say "I'm busy" or anything instead of leaving me hanging. But, I do think I could move along faster if I just accepted that no answer was in fact an answer. A sign of the times?

Yes! This is definitely true. I also heard of a great answer that I want to remember to start using. When someone says something that I really don’t know what to answer with, I need to say, “I heard that.”
